Proudly sitting on 5th Avenue between 60th and 61st in Sunset Park, Sliceria has become the area’s newest bellowed SLICE shoppe. Sliceria is the result of two pizza lovers getting together, a pizza maker and a baker. They are a family run business with deep roots in Palermo and Naples. They are New Yorkers who are proud of being from the city that gave the world – THE SLICE. Sliceria’s goal is to bring pizza back to the classic New York style: the way it used to be: Simple, Fresh & Delicious.
Sliceria’s authentic menu Italiana features Sicilian Panelle (AKA Chickpea Fritters) – crisp fried squares of seasoned chickpea served on a seeded roll. Panelle are traditional Sicilian street food that has remained Palermo’s biggest guilty pleasure for many, many centuries. Another Palermo addition is Sfincione pizza (Sicilian pizza with onions, toasted breadcrumbs & anchovies) – currently being served by the pie only.
